Police investigate overnight stabbing
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Police are investigating an overnight stabbing in Syracuse. It happened in a basement hallway on Westmoreland Avenue around 12:15 a.m. Thursday.
Police said Jermain Kotary, 22, was stabbed in the chest during a fight with another man. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
Police said officers are following a number of leads as they investigate the stabbing.
