BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- For the third year in Binghamton, Easter has gone to the animals. This weekend’s “Easter Eggstravaganza” at Ross Park Zoo drew record numbers, as children of all ages were able to spend some time with animals and scoop up some eggs.
“They’re very excited, I’m more excited,” said Donna Tangorra, Volunteer at Zoo.
Lyndsay Macdonald, Kirkwood Resident, added, “We went to the zoo and got little paper eggs and got to redeem them at the Education center.”
"I got some like Easter eggs, I got like two,” said Veronica Mueller, Ithaca Resident.
Children exchanged their finds for prizes and candy. There was even face painting. Some called the egg hunt a hopping success.
“We had a lot of people here yesterday, it was a beautiful day, just like today,” said Tangorra.
For others it was a learning experience, but for many it was a lot of fun. Fun with the family and some furry friends.
