UTICA, N.Y. -- A Utica woman woke up to find a stranger in her house yesterday morning.

Police said the James Street resident called 911 after she woke up and heard someone laughing. She went into the living room to find a man sitting in her recliner.

When officers arrived they took Kimsean Buth, 37, into custody. They said he was intoxicated at the time, but have no explanation for how he ended up in the woman's house.

Buth is charged with criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.
