UTICA, N.Y. -- The Utica Zoo also invited families out for a little holiday fun.

The zoo hosted an Easter egg hunt with an appearance by the Easter Bunny. Kids also got to play games with their eggs and even decorate them.

The zoo said they love using the opportunity to educate kids about animals.

Andrea Delisle-Heath, the Utica Zoo Executive Director said, “People can go to an Easter egg hunt many, many places but to be able to do so with exotic African animals, and Burmese python, and beavers, and it's just a great, great area and experience to be at the zoo.”

Kids weren't the only ones in on the fun, the zoo gave some the animals Easter treats of their own.
