HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Herkimer County teen is hit and killed while crossing a road. It happened in the town of German Flatts around 8 p.m. on Friday.

State police said Kali Guyer, 14, of Mohawk was crossing State Route 5-S when she ran into the path of a car. Guyer was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the accident.
