ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- David Trebilcock entered a not guilty plea during his first appearance in Oneida County Court for the stabbing death of his girlfriend's six-year-old daughter.

Trebilcock faces felony charges, including second degree murder and assault and a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a weapon in the June death of six-year-old Lauren Belius.

Judge Michael Dwyer set a suppression hearing regarding statements Trebilcock made to authorities about the crime for November 3rd.

Prosecutor Dawn Lupi and defense attorney Patrick Marthage say the judge has also banned them from speaking to the media about the case.
