ELMIRA, N.Y. -- State Police have arrested an Elmira man in connection with the disappearance of his girlfriend in Florida.

David Perry, 46, was arrested Thursday night. Police have been looking for him since March, when his girlfriend, Kelly Rothwell, 35, disappeared. Authorities say Perry refused to cooperate in the search for the woman.

Detectives in Florida first began the investigation after a friend reported a domestic dispute between the couple. Rothwell's vehicle was found about two miles south of their Rocks Beach home.

In mid-March, police received a tip Perry had returned to the Southern Tier.

Police are not yet releasing details on his arrest or what charges he may be facing.
