SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. -- Elmira police are searching for a man who fled Florida after his girlfriend disappeared in the southern state.

Police say David Perry, 46, was last seen at a relative's house in West Elmira and may be armed and dangerous. His girlfriend, Kelly Rothwell, 35, was last seen Sunday at their home in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. Detectives began the investigation after a friend reported a domestic dispute between the couple.

Rothwell's vehicle was found Sunday about two miles south of their home.

Anyone with information about Perry's whereabouts are asked to call the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in Florida at (727) 582-6200.
