ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell University community remains in mourning following the death of sophomore George Desdunes.
The 19-year-old was found unresponsive Friday in the fraternity house where he lived. He died later that day.
Campus leaders say Desdunes was studying biology and society and was active across Cornell.
"He was obviously a force of nature on campus. His friends come from all parts of the campus. And therefore you get the sense of a vibrant young man who had a lot of energy and brought a lot of smiles to people's faces. It's just a sad situation," said Cornell University Communications Vice President Tommy Bruce.
Both colleges say they're planning memorials for George Desdunes and Victoria Cheng, pending the families' approval.
