ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The driver of the megabus that crashed into a bridge on the Onondaga Lake Parkway killing four and injuring over 20 others has been taken off the road. A representative of Coach USA says John Tomaszewski, 59, is not currently driving for the company and won't be paid while the investigation continues.

The tragic accident happened just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The bus was headed from Pennsylvania to Toronto, with a scheduled stop in Syracuse.

Tomaszewski told police he failed to make a planned turn onto Park Street to get to the Regional Transportation Center. He ended up on the Parkway, but told investigators he never saw the numerous signs warning of the low bridge.
