CALCIUM, N.Y. -- A Jefferson County man faces charges after authorities say he fired several rounds from a shotgun during a fight. Eric Cruz was arrested at his home on James Street in Calcium early Sunday morning.

Deputies say one of the shotgun slugs hit a nearby home, going through several walls into a kitchen. No one was hurt by any of the shots.

Cruz is now charged with attempted assault and reckless endangerment. He was sent to the Jefferson County Jail on $50,000 bail.
