ITHACA, N.Y. -- Dozens of elementary school families in Ithaca came out to support their school.

District leaders are looking into closing Fall Creek Elementary as one way to help make up what could be a $10 million budget deficit.

The superintendent says right now, the closure is just a possibility, but she says if it does happen, the Fall Creek building might be used to house the district's pre-K classes.

Fall Creek families say they want to be part of the conversation.

The Ithaca superintendent says she will present her budget next month. The school board is expected to adopt its budget by mid April.
