BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- There will be no trial for a Kirkwood man accused of first-degree murder. Anthony Carnevale entered a guilty plea on Wednesday in Broome County Court for the murder of Jean Clark.

Clark was killed during a robbery attempt at a Town of Windsor home in January 2009. Carnevale also pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of Ethan Button, Clark's cousin, during the same crime. As part of the plea deal Carnevale will be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. Police say he was trying to steal prescription drugs.

There is no word yet on Carnevale's wife, Ashely, who was also charged.
