One witness takes stand in Oxley trial
Just one witness took the stand Friday in the Wayne Oxley murder trial. Oxley is the 40-year-old Ogdensburg man police say killed his neighbor, Bernard Trickey, with a baseball bat.

A detective sergeant for the Ogdensburg Police Department said he interviewed Oxley the day after Trickey was murdered. He said Oxley denied killing Trickey numerous times during the interview. He also stated that when Oxley was asked by police if he knew about a baseball bat in his basement, Oxley replied, "I do remember something about a bat. Someone borrowed a bat. John Shannon borrowed my bat."
