Business leaders honored at awards event

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Business executives from around the state were honored at the Financial Executive of the Year Awards in Syracuse.
The seven winners were announced at the event at the Oncenter Wednesday.
All 19 finalists are from public and private companies and non-profit organizations around Central New York, the Mohawk Valley and the Greater Binghamton area.
Each finalist was nominated for the award for excelling in their positions at their companies.
"Often, financial executives don't really truly get the recognition they deserve. So this special event that's unique in our area is actually a way of doing that," said Joyl Clance, BizEventz Events Manager.
