ROME, N.Y. - The top-ranked Cicero-North Syracuse hockey team had beaten every team it has played this season except No. 2 Rome Free Academy, and that remained the case on Wednesday as the teams played to a 2-2 tie.
The Northstars had won 18-straight games since dropping their season-opener to the Black Knights and the tie keeps the teams tied atop the Section III, Division I East standings. Cicero-North Syracuse's regular season is over while RFA has one game remaining Friday at Fayetteville-Manlius so a win or a tie will give the Black Knights the outright division championship.
