ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Despite being shot in the eye during an armed robbery, the head coach of the Christian Brothers Academy baseball team is expected back for this coming season.

CBA's Athletic Director says Thomas Dotterer is absolutely still the baseball coach for the 2013 season.

The 77-year-old was shot back on January 23rd, and will likely be blind in one eye as a result. He continues to recover from that injury.

The school says they are not rushing him back, but the job is his when he returns. Spring practice begins in about a month, and the season kicks off April 1st.
