SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Entering the playoffs with a 6-10 record, the seventh-seeded New Hartford baseball team got hot at the right time as it won its first sectional title since 2005 with a 3-2 win over No. 4 Jamesville-DeWitt in the Section III Class A final Wednesday at Alliance Bank Stadium.
New Hartford (9-10) will take on the Section X winner on Monday in the first round of the state tournament.
