VESTAL, NY--College basketball season is still five months away, but the introduction of new BU coach Tommy Dempsey has an early buzz surrounding the Bearcats.
The good news is things can pretty much only go up after last year's team went 2-29, which got Mark Macon fired and paved the way for Dempsey to come in.
Recruiting will be even more important than usual as three players have transferred and Rob Mansell might not be ready right away due to a torn ACL suffered late in the season.
Dempsey says one of his goals in recruiting is maintaining a high academic standard, he graduated 100% of his four-year players during his seven year tenure at Rider.
