BINGHAMTON, NY--Here's something you don't see every March in these parts: high school baseball practice outside on an actual field!

The unseasonably warm weather has allowed many teams to practice outdoors way more than usual in preparation for the new season.

In fact the Binghamton boys were able to get outside earlier than ever and even hold tryouts on their field, and they haven't been forced into the gym yet!

The Patriots echo the sentiments of every spring team in saying that outdoor work is a big boost in getting ready to play.

Binghamton has a scrimmage next week and is set to begin the season April second.
