Training Week 4: Natalie Scavone
I am having difficulty fitting in 6 days of training. With the end of school looming, there are a million things pulling me from finding the time (and some nights energy) to get in my workout.
I did get in a run this week on Tuesday since my bike was getting a little tune-up and a bike computer mounted. That 25 minutes went well and I feel that I am progressing with that. Progressing with my plodding. Not my best leg of the race.
Swimming on Wednesday was MUCH better than last week. Since we had the opportunity to practice some of the drills that needed work, I welcomed the feedback on my form and kept pushing through the water with attempts to breathe on both sides, to find a rhythm.
Thursday and Friday found me falling into bed early. But I was up and at 'em early on Saturday for our ride in Onondaga Lake Park. It was nice to stretch the legs and practice riding in small group pace lines. The Circle of Death found me on the ground again. Luckily, the wet, spongy grass was much softer than the hot asphalt. I could feel the tension in my legs the rest of the weekend.
