Training Week 3: Elisabeth Berson
May 17: My car broke down on Friday the 13th, which threw a wrench in the works regarding my last weekend's workout plan. I was only able to get a short run in on Sunday and although it was in the damp drizzle, it was good.
On this day, I rode at a slow pace and practiced being on the road while cycling. There is some beautiful countryside on Rt 370.
May 18: Swim Practice! I'm still terrible but made it through another session. I noticed my legs are feeling stronger. Excellent!
Another bonus: I was able to wrangle the swim cap on in under 90 seconds. Believe me when I tell you, that's a feat.
May 19: I was able to follow the schedule and did a slow 2.5 mile jog. (I totally skipped the core workout... just wasn't in the mood but will have to push myself in the coming weeks!).
May 22: Today, I can honestly say I swallowed more of Gold's Pool than I'd ever care to admit. But, I got my first solo swim practice in and felt quite accomplished for doing so. Lucky for the swimmer sharing the lane with me, I'm amazingly slow and frequently sputtering so... ego-boost for them!
