BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Top prospect Zack Wheeler followed up his worst start of the year with an even worse one, allowing seven runs (six earned) in 6 2/3 innings in an 8-2 loss to Altoona on Saturday.
Wheeler had a shutout going through four innings before the Curve caught on. He has now allowed 11 earned runs over his last two outings but still sports a 2.74 ERA and a 7-4 record.
