BINGHAMTON, NY--For fans in Binghamton, it's been a tough winter as the B-Sens went from first to worst in the American Hockey League. But now there's new hope as another team returns to town, the Binghamton Mets are back for their 21st season.
12 players from last year's roster return to NYSEG Stadium, but there are plenty of new faces joining the squad this season, including first-year manager Pedro Lopez.
The skipper is Binghamton's eighth in the last ten years.
Lopez is in his 11th season as a minor league manager, his fifth within the Mets' organization.
While Lopez may be new to Binghamton, he's anything but to a majority of the players on the roster, having coached 19 of them on other teams..
