Four college aged kids wind up running for their lives from lunatics out for blood in the new movie "The Cabin In The Woods." YNN's Neil Rosen filed the following review.

The poster of the movie has a headline that reads, "You think you know the story," meaning, in other words, expect the unexpected. Remarkably, they're right.

The initial basic storyline involves something that you do think you've seen before in dozens of other movies, starting with "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

Four college aged kids go away for a few days to an abandoned cabin in the woods.

At first, everything seems just fine. But just as you would predict, there are lots of lunatics afoot who are out for blood and they're after these kids. The kids wind up running, both inside the house and outside on the grounds, for their lives.

There's another plot component here that involves actors Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins. But again, to tell you how they fit into the story would be divulging too much.

Suffice it to say that co-writer, director Drew Goddard, who also wrote "Cloverfield", has put a new spin on a very old tale. It's refreshing and while it's not particularly scary, I don't think that's Goddard's intent. It's more like part parody, part dark comedy, part horror film all rolled into one.

The writing is quite good and the entire premise is something that I truly can say I haven't seen before. Chris Hemsworth from the movie "Thor" is on hand and along with the rest of the cast they get the job done.

I had my problems with the movie's conclusion and whether or not you buy into what ultimately happens is up to you.

Let me just say it's fun and gives this genre a new twist.
