Hotels from New York to Florida are doing their part to help out in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Here in New York, the Kimpton group of hotels, including The Muse, are donating $10 of each reservation to the American Red Cross through November 30. For more info, visit www.kimptonhotels.com.

Gansevoort Meatpacking and Gansevoort Park Avenue have a give and take program where guests donating new clothes, toiletries or canned goods valued at $10 or more and get a voucher for a complimentary rooftop cocktail during their stay. For more information, visit gansevoorthotelgroup.com.

The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia is offering a special Thanksgiving rate of $325 per night, including breakfast for two. Any northeastern residents displaced by Sandy can find refuge in Florida at four of the Rosen Hotels and Resorts in the Orlando area offering distress rates of $49 a night. They include Quality Inn International, Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando and Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista. Three of their luxury level hotels, including Rosen Shingle Creek, have relief rates between $79 and $99 a night. Guests booking the distress rates of $49 may also add $10/night for two adult breakfast buffets daily.
