BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Cast members from the national tour of “South Pacific” paid a visit to Binghamton High School Thursday. They conducted a special musical theatre workshop for students in the Rod Serling School of Fine Arts.

The cast members answered questions from students about the industry. They also worked with them on vocal performance and presentation styles.

The actors say they hope the workshop gives the kids some insight into the real world of musical theatre.

"I just know when I went to school and there was a show in town and they came to talk to us, I was ecstatic and just ate up every single thing they said. I mean, it’s just valuable to know what goes on in the real world once you are done with school and everything," said “South Pacific” cast member Angela Travino.

The cast of South Pacific is next headed to Massachusetts.
