OWEGO, N.Y. -- The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the locally-owned "Owego Pharmacy" Thursday.

The business is located in the Tops Plaza on Fifth Avenue in Owego.

"There used to be three pharmacies in Owego for years, there's no pharmacy on this side of the town, which I've had a lot of feedback on that, from people on the East side of the town and village being very glad that I'm here," said pharmacy owner John Gatto.

The pharmacy will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
