HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Herkimer woman who says she killed a man at his request is sentenced for an unrelated crime.
Jennifer Riesel, 28, was sentenced Monday for grand larceny after pleading guilty to using her ex-boyfriend's credit card to purchase cell phone minutes.
Riesel was just arrested last week on a second-degree murder charge after police say she ran over and killed Francis Nelson, 74, with a car she had borrowed. Riesel told police that Nelson was terminally ill and had offered to pay her $180,000 to end his life.
She faces up to four years in prison for the grand larceny charge.
