SYRACUSE, N.Y. – S.U. alumni who now have a career in the public eye are commenting on the Bernie Fine investigation. Bob Costas, who currently anchors Football Night in America on NBC and has more than 20 Emmys, was the only media personality to get an interview with Jerry Sandusky. Sandusky is the former Penn State coach who is accused of child sex abuse.

When asked about the Fine investigation while appearing on 'the Daily Show with Jon Stewart,' Costas - who attended Syracuse University - said there were dissimilarities between the situations at Penn State and SU.

“So far, and I underline ‘so far,’ there’s no convincing evidence that there was some sort of institutional cover-up at Syracuse the way there obviously has been – we don’t know the full extent yet – at Penn State. But obviously, there was some sort of institutional cover-up at Penn State,” said Costas.
