SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse police say they have arrested a wanted murder suspect.

Police have been looking for Josue Gonzalez, 29, since late August. Gonzalez was wanted for the murder of Angel Olmo, 32. Police said Olmo was shot several times on August 20th in a gas station parking lot on South Geddes Street.

Gonzalez surrendered himself to the Syracuse Police Department this morning at 10:00 a.m. He is set to be arraigned in Syracuse City Court this afternoon.

Gonzalez is charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

In a news conference at 2:00 p.m. today, Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler is expected to discuss the murder investigation in depth. Chief Fowler is also expected to talk about a new neighborhood crime fighting initiative that the Syracuse Police Department is starting.
