ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Rome woman convicted in a murder for hire plot was sentenced Wednesday.

Angela Tefft received three to nine years in prison for trying to hire someone to kill a family member in exchange for money. Police were tipped off before the plot went anywhere.

Tefft was convicted of conspiracy in the second degree.
