BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger toured the Roberson Museum Friday. Stenger says the university is looking for ways students can partner with the museum.
For example, some engineering students will be placing a camera on the museum's model train exhibit to give visitors an on-train perspective of the exhibit.
Roberson leaders say the collaboration embodies what the museum is all about.
"If we don't have other people that we are collaborating with, people that are invested themselves and engaged in the projects, it doesn't mean anything. We're an organization that needs the hands of the community to help us," said Roberson Museum Executive Director Terry McDonald.
Museum leaders believe the increasing partnerships will bring in more BU students and community members to the museum.
