BOSTON, Mass. -- The Syracuse Orange survived to play another game. Thursday night, a pro-Orange crowd helped cheer on ‘Cuse to victory against a tough Wisconsin team.

The Orange went into the locker room up six, but in the second, Wisconsin shot lights out behind the Arc to take the lead. The ‘Cuse battled back to hang on for a one point victory despite the tough challenge.

Fans said they were happy with the overall effort the Orange put forth and said there's no stopping ‘Cuse when they play to their potential.

Many Syracuse fans in attendance Thursday night said they plan to be back at the TD Garden for Saturday’s game as ‘Cuse is now just one win away from reaching the Final Four.

In Syracuse, there were cheers of celebration at Varsity on the SU Hill Thursday night. Fans said it's been a long time coming, but they are excited to see their team back in the Elite Eight. They're just hoping the next game isn't as close.

"I feel great, man. I didn't think we were going to make it this far. It was too close of a game, it was a nail biter. But, you know, we pulled it out," said Ross Levey, an SU fan.

"In this game, you just win and moved on. That's the whole point of the tournament, as long as you win and advance and make it to the next round, that's all that matters, and one more step and we're in the Final Four," said SU fan Chetant Rakieten.

SU will have to make it past Ohio State Saturday in order to make it back to the Bayou for the Final Four.
