BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Binghamton's Restaurant Week started Tuesday and runs until next Thursday.
Seventeen local restaurants will be offering three course lunch specials for ten dollars and three course dinner specials for twenty dollars.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton.
Restaurant owners say it's a great event for both businesses and customers.
"It's a nice chance to try something that you haven't tried before or if you haven't tried a restaurant that participates to just see what they have to offer and get a feel for the atmosphere but know you are going to pay $10 or $20 at a set price," said Whole in the Wall owner Stacey Gould.
"It's a great community event, it brings all the local restaurants together as well as bringing an enormous amount of the community downtown," said Lost Dog Cafe Catering Manager Nicole Howard.
