BRADFORD COUNTY, PA. -- The family of a Binghamton man who disappeared after jumping into the Chenango River last fall finally has some closure.

Broome County officials have confirmed that the body discovered by two fishermen last week in the Susquehanna River in Wyalusing Township was in fact Keith Slater, 24.

Back on September 28th, Slater jumped off a bridge into the Chenango River, sparking a massive search effort that was eventually called off.

The Broome County Coroner said dental records were needed to finally confirm his identity. A toxicology study is being done, but officials consider his death to be accidental.
